Mu Labs x ØTHERS x Modern Mantra present the Voxel Cube: an integrative and experiential space combining neuro-feedback, EEG technology and Earth-monitoring sensors with multi-sensory performance + interactive practices.
With technology as the portal, we can heal, integrate and transcend - individually and collectively - through a deepening of the union between Self and Earth Consciousness. You might cognitively understand the oneness of us as beings with Gaia as mother… what if you were able to see and feel this sacred symbiosis? Together, let’s deepen our connection with Earth and heart, through a visual dance between our temporal human states and Gaia’s fluctuating frequencies.
Through meditative and somatic practices, and multi-sensory interplay, let’s come together to co-create a mutable energetic plane, merging Earth’s primordial vibrations with our unique human auras.
The VOXEL Cube is an installation which brings human physiology and psychology to life in a digitally immersive experience, housed in the metaverse. Using artistic rendering of biometric data combined with movement and brain data, the human inner world is expressed and experienced in novel ways.
The Voxel Cube can be used as an installation, art performance and interactive transformational experience at the same time.
A voxel is a computer modeling concept that describes the representation of volume in a graphic simulation. The team brings together multifaceted expertise to open new worlds of possibility in expressing the interplay between multi-sensory technology, techno-shamanic healing and environmentally conscious artistic expression, as we enter the age of the Anthropocene.

2-3PM : Neuroscience Talk: Neuroscience of Breath with Xico Teixeira
Breath is rhythm and the brain depends on cycles. In this talk we will explore the cyclic mechanisms of the brain and its frequencies and how breath, mainly breath holes interact and affect these rhythms. From the Central Nervous System to the Peripheral Nervous system, there are many different physiological changes and improvements with the different types of breathwork. As breathwork is also a form of mediation you will also be able to try and test yourself through the Neurofeedback technique of seeing and listening to brain frequencies in real-time, how your brain changes according to different types of respirations and meditations you are engaging to.
6:30-8PM: Deep Hole Death Literacy with Rodo
A guided breathwork workshop provided by Rodo (alchemy art of being). Demonstrating how to breathe gives us death literacy. This experience will happen inside of the Voxel Cube from inside the Voxel Cube with brain and movement sensors to visualise how breath holds modulates brain waves and our physical space. Alchemy is the art of inner navigation through the science of free-diving and musical composition channelled at the moment. This methodology induces the exploration of deep states of consciousness, using tools that facilitate the transmutation of stress, depression, attention deficit, and other negative emotions, into emotional liberation, radiance, and celebration. Music supplied by Keelan (ØTHERS), a dynamic journey of ethereal and shamanic sounds.
8-9PM: ROOTS - Dynamic Ode to Nature: Eco-Empathy, the way to resilience (burn-out avoidance) with David Negrão, Xico Teixeira, Luis Anjos
This experience is a unique blend of technology and nature, where you'll dive into a paradigm-shifting experience that challenges your perceptions of the world and encourages you to embrace a holistic view of nature. Let nature reveal its secrets as you break away from object-oriented thinking and immerse yourself in a world of wonder and complexity. During the day, real-time data will be collected through atmospheric (humidity, temperature, atmospheric pressure and gas readings) and physical (seg and flex bend) sensors that, after being analysed and processed, will create a unique, dynamic and generative musical piece. During the night the sensors will receive information from the environment, just as they do during the day, but this time the analysed data will be also projected directly to The VOXEL Cube creating a sensorial and visual materialisation.

2-3PM: Neuroscience talk: The Neuroscience of Movement with Xico Teixeira
Movement is rhythm and the brain depends on cycles. In this talk we will explore the cyclic mechanisms of the brain and its frequencies and how movement, mainly dance, interacts with your somatic system. From the Central Nervous System to the Peripheral Nervous system, there are many different physiological changes and improvements with the different types of movement and somatic experiences. As movement is also a form of mediation you will also be able to try and test yourself through the Neurofeedback technique of seeing and listening to brain frequencies in real-time, how your brain changes according to different types of sensorial, movement awareness and body imagery and meditations you are engaging to.
6:30-8PM: Movement Creative Block - The Fear of Imperfection with Vandana
A guided movement class provided by Vandana. Demonstrating how to break to fear of imperfection and surpass creative block through dance, from inside the Voxel Cube with brain and movement sensors to visualise how Music and Rhythm modulates brain waves and our physical space. Beginning with a 10 minute immersive soundscape meditation, with scent and sound to set the scene. Music supplied by Keelan (ØTHERS) a dynamic journey of ethereal and shamanic sounds.

2-3PM: Neuroscience Talk: Neuroscience of sound + scent with Xico Teixeira
Sound is rhythm and the brain depends on cycles. In this talk we will explore the cyclic mechanisms of the brain and its frequencies and how sound and scent interact and affect these rhythms. From the Central Nervous System to the Peripheral Nervous system, there are many different physiological changes and improvements with the different types of sound and scent frequencies. As sound medicine & aromatherapy are also a form of mediation you will also be able to try and test yourself through the Neurofeedback technique of seeing and listening to brain frequencies in real-time, how your brain changes according to different types of sounds and scents and meditations you are engaging to. ØTHERS & MuLabs have worked together in a study that shows the congruence of scent + sound and its effect of the brain. ØTHERS have created two functional scents that are scientifically validated to alter the mood, made with olfactive technology, designed to improve focus and influence you into a flow state and a deeper sense of relaxation. These scents are paired with unique soundscapes that aim to help people with relatable states of mind, such as Creative Block, Avoiding burnout and Imposter syndrome. ØTHERS and Mulabs continue to explore the link between the two senses, bringing together exciting ways of immersing in the world of the sound + scent, with a neuroscience led approach.
6:30-8PM: Lose Yourself, Findo Yourself through Scent & Sound with Keelan Doille & XIIK Sonora
A Guided sound journey from inside the Voxel Cube with brain sensors to visualise how Music and scent modulates brain waves. We invite guests to gather around the cube and lay down, first everyone is provided with a spray of ØTHERS relaxing functional scent which primes the guest ready to enter a deep state’. We then begin the sound journey, which starts with a short guided exercise that carries the guest through a sensorial journey of the scent, helping the guest to decompress and dissolve - we call this ‘Sensory Tuning. Followed by a short thought provoking mediation on ‘identity’, bringing awareness to the topic of ‘the true self. Once guests reach an optimal relaxed state, from there we will continue with a sound journey, supplied by DJ’s Keelan (ØTHERS), taking people from a relaxed state through to a more uplifted and flow state, where they can feel free to dance and express themselves to the rhythm and flow of music.

2-3PM: Neuroscience Talk: Neuroscience of eco-empathy with Xico Teixeira
Ecosystems have rhythms and the brain depends on cycles. In this talk we will explore the cyclic mechanisms of the brain and its frequencies and how nature interact and affect these rhythms. From the Central Nervous System to the Peripheral Nervous system, there are many different physiological changes and improvements with the different types of natural habitats. As contemplation is also a form of meditation you will also be able to try and test yourself through the Neurofeedback technique of seeing and listening to brain frequencies in real-time, how your brain changes according to different types of contemplations and meditations you are engaging to. Biophilia refers to the innate human tendency to seek connections with nature and other forms of life. Research has shown that biophilia has a significant impact on human behavior, including psychological and physiological benefits. The relationship between biophilia and creativity, innovation, and productivity is another important topic. Researchers have found that exposure to nature can increase problem-solving abilities, improve critical thinking skills, and enhance creativity.
